Description:
The trail has some uneven sections with a few strenuous sections along creeks and through the conifer forest. We will cover the Jones Creek Loop then the Nature Trail to the west. Some birds we may see are Hawks, Eagles, Sapsuckers, Woodpeckers, Jays, Nutcrackers, Chickadees, Nuthatches, Kinglets, Bluebirds, Finches, Sparrows.
About Jo Ann: Jo Ann Cobb is an avid hiker, backpacker, and skier who loves exploring the natural environment, including in the San Francisco Bay Area where she lived for many years and now at Lake Tahoe where she has resided since 2017. After many years of being an occasional birder, she has become an active birder since 2021, on field trips with the Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance and the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science and on travels about the United States and abroad.
