About the event
NDOW, Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space, and The Nature Conservancy will be facilitating the 2025 City Nature Challenge (CNC) in Reno-Sparks, Carson City, and Minden. The CNC is a global, four-day bioblitz taking place April 25–28, 2025.
The challenge is hosted on iNaturalist, a digital community science app. You can learn more about iNaturalist here: https://www.inaturalist.org/. The goal of the CNC is to encourage people to explore nature in their local areas, collect valuable biodiversity data, and enjoy some friendly competition between cities!
