Photo Contest Rules:
Depict birdlife:
It must contain at least one bird or bird part.
Size & Dimensions:
No larger than 35 megabytes
and at least 3000 pixels wide or tall.
Format:
RGB mode /JPG format
Location:
Taken in our area: Northwest Nevada/Northeastern California or on a NNBA field trip - unless we request a different location.
Fee: Free submission for members, $5 per image for non-members.
Maximum # of photo entries per contest: 2
Ethics: NNBA requires every photographer to practice responsible bird photography. AI-generated images are not eligible.
Awards:
Quarterly prize for best photo: choice of $20 gift card or free membership. All quarterly winners are automatically entered into our "Photographer of the year" award to be announced in December.

Additional requirements:
Fill in all information boxes, including where the photograph was taken and the bird’s name (email us if you need help with ID). Additional information provided, such as the camera, equipment, exposure information, and the story behind the photograph, may be taken into consideration when assessing compliance with our ethical guidelines.
By submitting photos to this contest, you are giving consent to the Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance to use your photo for the purposes stated above in any of NNBA’s print, website, or social media advertising. NNBA will give photo credit to the photographer by listing their name on the photo.
The purpose of this contest is to explore and celebrate birds in our local Northern Nevada area, and for use by our chapter for the education, promotion, appreciation, and conservation of birds and bird habitat.
