Plants for Birds
Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance's Guide to the native plants that benefit and support bird populations in Northern Nevada & surrounding areas.

The Program
Northern Nevada Bird Alliance is now partnering with the National Audubon Society in the Native Plants for Birds program. We have developed a comprehensive list of plants native to Northern Nevada using the National Audubon Society's Native Plant Finder. Native plant gardens benefit wildlife, the environment and people too. Locally sourced native plants also help support small businesses and the surrounding community. By planting native plants in your garden, you are providing prime habitat with adequate food and shelter for birds and other native wildlife to take advantage of.
If you are attracting birds to your garden, make sure that it is safe for birds. Read Audubon's Reducing Collisions page to learn how you can protect your backyard birds from fatal window strikes.
