Boynton Slough and Dry Creek Field Trip
Difficulty: 2-3 miles on an easy, level paved path

Description:
This is an easy walk along the Slough formed by Dry Creek. We will head from the Park to the Slough where we may find Geese like Snow, White-fronted, and of course Canada, Herons, Egrets, Rail, Sora, plenty of close views of Ducks, Teal, and Mergansers. Along the banks we could find Yellowlegs, Snipe, Hawks, Eagles, Blackbirds, Sparrows, and Finches.
About Jo Ann: Jo Ann Cobb is an avid hiker, backpacker, and skier who loves exploring the natural environment, including in the San Francisco Bay Area where she lived for many years and now at Lake Tahoe where she has resided since 2017. After many years of being an occasional birder, she has become an active birder since 2021, on field trips with the Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance and the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science and on travels about the United States and abroad.
