This is a mix of wooded area along the Carson River including sagebrush habitat and is a great place to find Raptors, Owls, Kingfishers,  Nuthatches, Creepers, Woodpeckers, Kinglets, and Waterfowl on the river. Sparrows like White-Crowned, Golden-crowned, Lincoln’s, Savannah, and Song are possible.  This is an easy walk and maybe we will find raucous Pinyon Jays and Dippers at the Dam.
