Description:

This is a mix of wooded area along the Carson River including sagebrush habitat and is a great place to find Raptors, Owls, Kingfisher,  Nuthatches, Creepers, Woodpeckers, Kinglets, and waterfowl. We should also find Orioles, Kingbirds, Buntings, and possibly Black-throated and Sagebrush Sparrows.  Possible Warblers are Yellow-rumped, Wilson’s, Nashville, and Yellow.  This is an easy walk and maybe we will find raucous Pinyon Jays and Dippers at the Dam.
