About the event
Join us for a morning outing at the Lahontan Reservoir in Fallon. We will scan the reservoir, looking for waterfowl including swans, geese, and many species of ducks, and then bird the trees along the river to the campground. Along the river we will look for raptors, woodpeckers, sparrows, wrens, and other songbirds. The Lahontan Reservoir is an important water source in the Lahontan Valley, where birds such as waterfowl must navigate a desert landscape to reach suitable habitat at the lake.
