About the event

Plastics are everywhere, and when birds encounter them, whether on land or in water, it can have serious consequences. Join Alan Gubanich, long-time member of the Lahontan Audubon Society, as he describes many of the situations that lead to injury and even death to not only birds but also other animals. From oceans to landfills to simply trash on the ground, dangers for birds are everywhere. And now microplastics and nanoplastics threaten not only birds but we humans as well. After discussing the dangers, Alan will end with suggestions for plastic-free living that can benefit all of us.
