Description: This field trip will be a 2-3 mile easy to moderate walk on a level dirt path. This is a mix of riparian, sagebrush, and agricultural habitats along the Carson River. Species that may be seen include woodpeckers, ruby-crowned kinglets, warblers, sparrows, finches, bushtits, spotted towhees, scrub jays, black-billed magpies, red-tailed hawks, American kestrels, and waterfowl on the river. We may also find a flock of pinyon jays.
