Description:
Join us for an after-work "Flappy Hour"! We'll spend about an hour walking around the lake to look for birds and enjoy a nice sunset view to end our walk. We'll likely see various duck species including ruddy ducks and mallards, hooded and common mergansers, pied-billed grebes, gulls, and Canada Geese.
About Cara: Cara works in environmental/STEM education in Reno, and as an avid birder is excited to start leading bird walks in the area! While working at a state park in North Dakota in 2020 she picked up a pair of binoculars, immediately spotted a flock of gorgeous Cedar Waxwings, and has been searching for birds everywhere ever since. Besides birding she loves hiking, baking, reading, and dabbling in art projects.
