Swan Lake Field Trip

Difficulty: 2-3 miles medium - level uneven trail along the shoreline.

When: Thursday, September 10, 2026, 8:00 am (~3 hrs)

Description:

Be prepared to get your feet wet.  We will start at the Swan Lake Nature Study Area (IBA) at the old Boardwalk and search the shoreline for Rails, Blackbirds, Sandpipers, Ibis, and Pelicans.  We will then head over to the Fleetwood Dr Pumphouse area and search for Plovers, Sandpipers, Flycatchers, Blackbirds, Swallows, Dowitchers, Willets with a chance of seeing  Godwit, Dunlin, and maybe a rarity.
