Taylor Creek Visitor Center (South Tahoe) Field Trip

Difficulty: 2-3 miles easy - level path.

When: Friday, August 21, 2026, 7:30 am (~3 hrs)

Description:

We’ll walk the Rainbow Trail and down to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Woodpeckers, sparrows, warblers, osprey, eagles, ducks, and more.

About Jo Ann:   Jo Ann Cobb is an avid hiker, backpacker, and skier who loves exploring the natural environment, including in the San Francisco Bay Area where she lived for many years and now at Lake Tahoe where she has resided since 2017. After many years of being an occasional birder, she has become an active birder since 2021, on field trips with the Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance and the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science and on travels about the United States and abroad.
