About the event

Learn about the birds that are local to our area. With its many different habitats, Reno is home to a huge variety of bird species. Discover where the best birding locations are, and the best techniques to spot birds. Join us for an optional field trip to a local birding hotspot along with Amanda Pertsch, an experienced birding guide, for an opportunity to further practice your birding skills.


Notes: "Transportation to the field trip is not included. Please pack accordingly for the field trip by bringing snacks, food, water, sun protection, layers for Nevada weather, and any other items that will help you feel comfortable for the day. Recommended to bring binoculars, if available. Families are welcome, everyone must register.


Registration includes 2 classes (Thursdays, October 1 and 8) and one field session (October 10).
