About the event

Discover the fascinating world of Nevada’s owls in this engaging classroom presentation offered by the Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance (formerly the Lahontan Audubon Society). While the Great Horned Owl and Barn Owl are well known, the state is home to seven additional owl species that are seldom seen. Through taxidermy mounts, museum study skins, and a detailed PowerPoint presentation, you’ll learn how to identify these elusive nocturnal birds and gain insight into their habits, habitats, and unique characteristics.

This family-friendly program provides an enjoyable learning experience for bird enthusiasts of all ages. Advance registration is required for all participants.
