Virginia Lake attracts an abundance of birds, especially waterfowl. We can expect to see many ducks, geese and gulls, as well as Swallows, Herons, Mergansers and Grebes.

Virginia Lake Field Trip
Description: Virginia Lake attracts an abundance of birds, especially waterfowl. We can expect to see many ducks, geese and gulls, as well as Swallows, Herons, Mergansers and Grebes. We should also see plenty of songbirds. If you have a scope, I encourage you to bring it since it comes in handy for viewing the island where the Gulls, Egrets and Cormorants like to nest!
Leader: Amanda Pertsch
Difficulty: We will be doing an easy, slow walk on a 1 mile flat path around the lake.
