NAME THIS GROUP!

Have you ever wondered what the name for a group of specific birds is? Here is a fun challenge to match up the bird’s singular name with at least its group name. Answers at the end of this page!

BIRD JOKES!

A Turkey Vulture decides to take a commercial flight instead of flying under his own power to another area. He’s heard that there is no longer food provided on airlines, so he brings along a dead raccoon for a snack.

As he gets to the TSA security check, the agent looks at the raccoon and says “Wouldn’t you rather check that in?”

The Turkey Vulture responds: “No, thank you. It is carrion.”

There are several ways to tell apart a crow and a raven. Ravens are larger and the tail is a diamond or wedge shape instead of having a smoother or rounded edge. A less known way, however, is in the number of wing feathers, called pinions. Ravens have 17 and crows have 16. So really you could say that the difference between a crow and a raven is a matter of a pinion.
